Cheesy, crunchy goodness. This easy recipe was made with store bought pizza dough and heavily seasoned with italian herbs! The Pillsbury brand of pizza dough is my favorite to use for a quick and easy dough that actually tastes great. Here's how it's made...

Place pizza dough on a greased baking sheet
Stretch out dough to reach all edges
Use a fork to pierce holes in the dough so it does not bubble up while you pre-cook the crust
Use olive oil to spread over the dough (in this recipe I used an olive oil that I infused with garlic, rosemary, and red pepper flakes)
Season the dough heavily with Italian seasonings and salt. I used an Italian herb grinder I bought in my local super market.
Place in a 350 degree oven on the bottom rack for approximately 15 minutes or until the crust looks toasty and golden brown.

Now it's time for the toppings!! This recipe calls for no sauce..... yes you read that correctly.

Instead, I placed thinly sliced tomatoes to cover the entire crust.

Then add cheese...
A layer of ricotta adds some creaminess

Now time to add the rest of the cheese...
I added fontina and shredded mozzarella
Top the cheese with pieces of prosciutto...

and red onion.....

and arugula.
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar before placing flat bread in the oven directly onto the bottom rack at 400 degrees.
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to finish. That's a damn good looking flat bread.
